Sustainability Policy

Doküman No: DLYNS-SYS-10 · Yayın tarihi: 19 October 2026

At The Dalyan's Apart Hotel we take an approach that considers the environmental, social, economic and cultural effects of what we do. Sustainability for us is not only environmental responsibility: it also means transparent relationships with the community, fair management, support for the local economy and care for cultural heritage. We undertake to uphold the following principles:

  • Placing sustainability at the heart of our working culture and involving every member of staff in it,
  • Complying fully with all legal requirements, including environmental and occupational health and safety legislation,
  • Providing our staff with a safe and fair working environment based on equal opportunity,
  • Supporting the active participation of women and young people in employment,
  • Strengthening the social and economic participation of local people and vulnerable groups,
  • Putting guest satisfaction first and feeding guest comments into continuous improvement,
  • Using natural resources efficiently and reducing our consumption of energy, water and raw materials,
  • Minimising waste and encouraging recycling and reuse,
  • Setting measurable targets to reduce our carbon footprint and monitoring our performance against them,
  • Supporting the shift to renewable energy sources,
  • Offering safe and balanced food in line with food safety principles,
  • Supporting the protection of endemic plant and animal species and avoiding harm to wildlife,
  • Respecting historical, cultural and archaeological assets and providing protective guidance,
  • Giving priority to fair trade and local products in our supply chain,
  • Upholding children's rights and human rights throughout, and firmly rejecting child labour,
  • Monitoring our sustainability performance regularly, reporting it transparently and sharing it with our stakeholders.

This policy is reviewed once a year, revised where necessary, and communicated openly to all staff and stakeholders.

Sustainable Purchasing Policy

Doküman No: DLYNS-SYS-05 · Yayın tarihi: 19 October 2026

Our purchasing is based on environmental, social and economic sustainability. We take an ethical, fair and resource-efficient approach across the supply chain. Alongside quality, cost and legal compliance, we weigh the long-term environmental and social effects of what we buy.

  • Priority is given to recyclable, recycled, organic and environmentally friendly products and to goods and services that save energy and water.
  • Products with a low environmental impact and recognised eco-labels (ISO 14001, ISO 50001, FSC, ASC, MSC and similar) are preferred.
  • Single-use products, unnecessary plastic and packaging are reduced as far as possible; bulk packaging is preferred.
  • We support suppliers who reduce waste, use energy efficiently and do not damage the ecosystem in production.
  • Products involving threatened species (game animals, prohibited timber and similar) are not purchased.
  • Local producers, local businesses and suppliers from the surrounding area are given priority.
  • Cooperatives, women entrepreneurs and fair-trade certified suppliers are actively favoured.
  • Products and services reflecting regional cultural values are supported.
  • Suppliers are expected to show care for job security, human rights, equality and the prohibition of child labour.
  • Businesses founded or run by women are supported.
  • Supplier selection is based on transparency, equal opportunity and ethical rules.
  • We share information with suppliers on sustainability and carry out audits.
  • Quality, cost, environmental impact and logistical benefit are assessed together.
  • Returnable and reusable products are given priority.
  • The use and consumption of purchased consumables is monitored.
  • The supply chain is reviewed periodically and its sustainability performance monitored.
  • The share of purchases made from local and fair-trade suppliers is tracked regularly, with annual targets set to increase it.
  • In maintenance, repair and renovation work, priority is given to sustainable building materials that are low impact, recyclable, long lasting and sourced locally where possible.
  • Products and services that reduce waste are preferred; long-lasting, reusable, repairable and recyclable products come first.

Within this policy we undertake to keep improving our sustainable purchasing practices and to keep environmental and social responsibility at the front of our supply chain.
